How long I've been been a massage therapist:
I specialize in deep tissue, trigger point, pre/post op, oncology, sports, Swedish, flow, and other massage techniques. My background also includes psychology, health, protocols on cleanliness, human trafficking, covid 19, etc.
What I enjoy most about being a massage therapist:
I enjoy the different challenges/goals with each client. Everyone is different and I pretty much have to figure you out... But when I do, there are times "I will read and know your body more than you." (Quoted by a few regulars I have been seeing for 7+ years). I have had the opportunity to work with clients with the goal of keeping them out of surgery, so far I have achieved this with many. Other clients I help post-surgery with their recovery journey. The feeling of being able to help people with what I do is the best feeling ever.
What inspired me to become a massage therapist:
My family is filled with nurses. At one point I wanted to do sports training or physical therapy. Then I took a massage therapy class, and never looked back.
Most memorable career moment:
I have worked in every aspect of massage: spa, physical therapy, chiropractic, and yoga. I have seen it all, I have done most, but I'm still learning as massage grows and I have a lot of educational plans in my future.
